This app works well at desktop but not as well as at Xbox one x, especially with HDR file. Not like desktop version, there is no option to download extra decoder for helping the HDR video. With the HDR setting, it can work the dark part to been seem, but for brighten part, it will became over-exposure and no detail part can been seem. Please fix this problem.
15/04/2018 come tutti gli altri, i video mp4 4K del mio lumia non si vedono. Schermo verde. 04/08/2018. aggiornamento. I video 4k del telefono si vedono ma ancora vanno a scatti. Sono fiducioso per altre migliorie. Comodo il menu veloce col pulsante start
If the localisation wouldn't be so extremely bad I would give 5 stars. It isn't that there is some spelling wrong but the translation done by a computer is utter nonsense.

新版本刚发布, 改进了多线程解码能力。 卡顿原因有可能是硬盘读取速度不足， 硬盘比较空闲的话也会卡顿？
i bought this app cause it was on sale and the claims it made. i have duplex media player and wanted a change and im highly dissapointed in Scorpio. I feel robbed and would like a refund. 1st the audio quality on this app is trash. its lifeless and flat and it doesent play 2 channel flac properly, it plays it 1 channel so when i listen through headphones there is no separation its just this flat dull sound that just playing in front of me. Went back to duplex media player to listen to the differences and that is how music is suppose to sound, full of life and engaging. Scorpio also skips songs for no reason making impossible to listen to a album front to back. I havent tried video but i dont even want to. I spent very short time with this app but its already clear i got ripped off, but im lucky i only spent 4 dollars and not the ridiculous 20 dollar price tag. Uninstalled . After update audio is improved. navagation needs work and the app just crash in the background while writting.

with update v2.9.65000, background music playback are improve memory usage, and add safe mode in settings to keep memory even lower, to avoid app kill by xbox system.
There's a lot to like here, particularly if you are using this on a computer with a mouse. Quite a few issues as well though: - Xbox interface is VERY cumbersome. Basically have to move a pointer with your controller to click on VERY small interface controls (on 65" screen!). Needs big buttons that take one push of the stick to move between. - DLNA support is very cumbersome as well. Have to go through pull down menu of every folder level to play each file. Desperately needs a browser of the media server like the MS Media Player app. - Can't seem to play the subtitles out of any of my mkv files. They are dvd subs ripped with Handbrake. This is absolutely critical to me. - Seems to ignore default track flags for subs. Can't say for sure (since I can't see the subs due to above issue), but the interface shows the first sub track selected as soon as you play, even though default is No. I will check back in a while and see if there is any progress and update.
I've been searching for an alternative to Groove since it's been ruined by Microsoft. This app is decent, but background music results in constant crashing outside of the safe mode option. Under safe mode, while using the official media server app, I can play one song in a playlist before the next one proceeds to buffer endlessly. DLNA seems to be the more reliable option, but it is very slow and songs end up organized by their track titles which is incredibly irritating. A lot of frustration for a paid app, so I would avoid it for now.
